Vendors quote one number and it is almost never the whole cost. This estimator breaks a voice minute into its four real components — speech recognition, reasoning, synthesis, telephony — prices each at current public rates, and shows how the blend changes with your call length and volume.
Published list pricing from each vendor, dated on the page. Volume discounts are not modelled because they are negotiated and non-public. That makes the estimate slightly high at large volume and accurate at the volumes most small businesses actually run.
If a platform quotes $0.09 a minute and this estimator says the underlying layers cost more than that, the quote excludes the reasoning layer — which is the norm rather than the exception. Take the quote into the estimator and see which layers it silently leaves for you to pay.
